There's an element of uncertainty in the season of summer 2021. It is a concern about the manner in which our service to the society will incorporate the highly appreciated relationship between humans that Rotary participants had in previous times. It is a fact that the principle of "hands meet face to face" is going to be a key element of our routine however, it is evident that there's an increase in optimism and the desire to connect face-to face. Rotary has, however, changed. It is still unclear the way in which the service we provide to others is going to incorporate the highly appreciated human connections that Rotary Members enjoyed during the earlier times. Though the old adage of 'hands face space' will undoubtedly continue to be a component of our practice, it's evident that the confidence building is evident and more face-to-face connections are being made. Rotary's changed. Rotary's networks create friendships lasting. The Pandemic was our catalyst to embrace technological advances. The outbreak has forced us to improve our technological methods. Our business remains on the internet, while introducing a new social and service activity. These new possibilities have been paired with what we learned about our past pandemics to provide a brand perspective to Rotary. Amanda Watkin - General Secretary's column - Rotary Magazine In a recent Rotary survey, I was encouraged to see that around 75% of clubs have started planning for the same 'business as usual' activities and projects that have previously benefitted communities throughout the countries of Great Britain and Ireland. It's wonderful to learn that the Rotary Support Centre team is able to provide important resources to assist with the maintenance and promotion of the infrastructure. It also helps keep members and the general public secure. Insurance and compliance are equally important. The members' imagination and ingenuity when finding solutions to some of the most challenging problems is astounding. I am thankful for the opportunity that Rotary provided me in 2002 to become an official participant. Rotary has also provided me with a great circle of friends that have a similar outlook.
