Nancy O'Dell's debut job in the broadcast industry was as a reporter/anchor for WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach South Carolina. In the following years, she worked as a morning-news anchor and crime report at WCBD TV. In Charleston O'Dell's reports about the relaxed approach police take to DUI cases resulted in the launch of a State Law Enforcement Division investigation which resulted in the state authorities re-issuing the strictest guidelines regarding DUI instances. Ms. O'Dell was awarded the Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. O'Dell later worked at the Miami-based station of NBC WTVJ-TV as an investigative reporter prior to joining Access Hollywood in the role as a weekend anchor. As well as her work as a lead anchor on Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell is also a contributor to NBC News' Today and in addition contributes to Dateline NBC. She's covered The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted various pre-show arrivals shows in preparation for The Emmys And The Golden Globes. Her other co-hosting credits include Miss USA, the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
